George’s Jamaican Bakery is a Jamaican restaurant in Nassau County, Long Island. For most of my life I have grown up down the main road from George’s Jamaican Bakery. Every three days, my parents would buy two fresh loafs of breads from George’s. In fact, as a little kid, I innocently believed that everyone in the world bought fresh every week from the store. When I would watch t.v. and see characters buying bread from the supermarket, it shocked me.

George’s is small store with a small area for at most five chairs for people to sit and eat. Jamaican music lightly plays in the background at George’s and there is a television that plays the local news. In a glass shelf next to the counter are some of the homemade pastries, fresh baked patties and rolls. And behind those are in my opinion, the best thing in George’s, the fresh baked bread. George’s bread is best had hot and right out of the oven.
