Easter Bun and Cheese

For this week’s post, I going in a different direction( shocking!). Easter is this coming Sunday and for Jamaicans and American Jamaicans, Easter Bun and Cheese are a tradition. This spiced bun is more or less a spiced fruitless version of the fruit cake that Americans eat during Christmas Time. Unlike some of the other recipes you have seen on this blog, an Easter Bun is rather difficult to make. So its easier to just purchase one. Although, be in mind that these buns are only available during the Easter season. Right now, they are flying off the shelf.
To fully enjoy this tradition, you slice of a piece of the bun and it with cheese. As seen in the picture below. Easter Bun and Cheese is commonly eaten by cutting off slices and cheese and eating on the bun itself.
